Wolves, Coyote, Foxes : Wolves have always been a passion of mine and to get to photograph them at a game farm and then in the wild has been a dream come true. Coyote are ususally a bit easier to find in the wild than wolves but are still a joy to find and photograph. Foxes are also a great find and have such beautiful thick coats in the winter.

Mountain Goats and Bighorn Sheep : Mountain Goats are incredibly agile mammals that live on the high slopes in the Rocky Moutains and elsewhere. At Mt Evans in Colorado, where I photograph them, they are especially tolerant of people so it is a great photo opportunity.

Elk, Deer and Moose : Elk are one of the largest mammals in North America. The males, or bulls, can weigh up to 700 pounds. The females are called cows and the young are calves. From mid September to mid October is the mating season, or rut. This is a great time to see the bulls calling (bulging) and fights often occur over who is going to get the best cows to mate with. The deer in this gallery are mostly from Rocky Mountain Arsenal, a military arsenal that is being turned into a National Wildlife Refuge. It is still pretty restrictive on where you can go, but hopefully soon it will have more open areas to the public.

Cats : What an incredible experience to photograph cats in the wild. Normally very difficult to find and very shy, these bobcat kittnes were not camera shy. I want to say a big Thank You to my friend who told me about them and invited me to come and photograph them. You know who you are! The other cats so far in this gallery were taken at Minnesota Wildlife Connection and are captive cats (including the smallest of the bobcats which I got to hold!)
